Faith Building Bonfire
Monday, May 23, 2022
On the eve of the feast day of Mary, ADMA-Y hosted a vibrant and spirit-filled gathering that began with a series of fun and meaningful icebreakers to build community and connection. The group reflected on the profound role of Mary as our Mother and her significance in our lives as a model of faith, love, and guidance.
To honor Mary, we engaged in a variety of activities that deepened our devotion and strengthened our bonds. We crafted handmade rosaries while discussing their spiritual significance as tools for prayer and reflection. Together, we lifted our voices in song, offering hymns of praise to Mary, creating a joyful and prayerful atmosphere.
As night fell, we gathered around a bonfire—a symbol of warmth and unity. Each participant wrote a personal petition to Mary, which was then attached to lanterns. With hearts full of hope, we released the lanterns into the night sky, symbolizing our prayers rising to heaven.
We were truly blessed to be joined by other members of the Salesian Family, including ADMA, the Salesian Sisters, and the Postulants from St. Dominic Savio Parish. Their presence brought added joy, warmth, and depth to our celebration, enriching the spirit of unity and devotion. It was a beautiful evening filled with faith, fellowship, and heartfelt love for Our Blessed Mother.
